The role is responsible for shaping and managing the school’s narrative and delivering targeted communications that align with the University’s branding strategy and key initiatives. Working closely with the Head of School and School Manager, the position supports strategic priorities through clear, purposeful and well-judged communications across a diverse rural footprint. The Communications Manager develops and delivers integrated content across multiple channels, including web, social media, email and media, while fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role plans, sources and creates stories and campaigns that engage government, health services, schools, prospective students, rural and Indigenous communities and specialist medical colleges. It also provides support for strategic projects, events and policy interpretation, while managing communications channels to ensure brand compliance, performance reporting and continuous improvement. We are seeking a professional with strong communications, planning and project management expertise supported by relevant postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience. Success in this role relies on advanced writing and editing skills, proven experience in delivering strategic communications initiatives and the ability to provide authoritative advice while effectively managing people, processes and partnerships.
