This role leads the Northern (NSW and QLD) sales team to drive growth across Vanguard's full product suite comprising managed funds, ETFs, managed accounts and Superannuation, and build enduring relationship with advisers and wealth managers. It provides strategic leadership across new business development and national account management, while building strong senior stakeholder relationships and positioning Vanguard's investment solutions effectively in the market. The role is focused on developing and managing a high performing sales team, leveraging market and competitive insights to maximise opportunity and deliver sustained result.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead, inspire and develop high performing sales teams, holding accountability for all people leadership responsibilities while fostering a strong performance and values driven culture.
* Drive sales growth and retention outcomes by providing strategic direction over sales panels and ensuring disciplined execution of sales pipeline and targets across direct and third party platforms.
* Build and sustain senior level relationships across the advice ecosystem, identifying opportunities and positioning Vanguard's solutions.
* Execute national account and business development plans, leading BDM/BDA activity and ensuring objectives, strategies, and actions are delivered, measured, and reported effectively.
* Champion Vanguard in the market, leveraging deep knowledge of products, services, and competitive dynamics to elevate brand awareness through presentations, targeted prospecting, and industry engagement.
* Act as a primary conduit for market insight, translating adviser feedback into clear priorities for the business.
Qualifications
* Extensive Financial Services experience, including 10+ years in senior client/prospect relationships and a strong track record in adviser sales.
* Strong leadership maturity, evidenced by sound judgement, the ability to set direction, and lead teams through change while delivering commercial and client outcomes.
* Strong senior stakeholder capability, building trusted relationships with business leaders both externally and within Vanguard.
* Deep investment and market expertise, complemented by RG146 qualification, strong competitive awareness, and confident executive presence and leadership skills.
