Slade Industries is seeking an experienced
Electrical Maintenance Technician
to join the long-term maintenance team at the
Shoalhaven Pumped Hydro Project
.
This is a
local position
based in the Kangaroo Valley / Shoalhaven region. Preference will be given to candidates who already live locally, however
relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate
who brings the required skills and experience.
We are offering both
permanent and casual opportunities
with a standard
38-hour Monday to Friday work week
.
Overtime is available on an
occasional basis
during planned outages, this is
optional, not compulsory
. From time to time,
call-outs and night shifts
may also arise, providing additional earning opportunities for those interested.

The ideal candidate will have:
A strong electrical background with proven
instrumentation experience
.
Broad
industrial experience
, with hydroelectric or power generation knowledge seen as a strong advantage.
Proficiency in using
computerised maintenance management systems
.
The ability to raise defect notifications, support planning, and complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Experience supporting both
planned outages and forced outages
, with the ability to work under performance-based KPIs.
Strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset, with the ability to maintain oversight of ongoing operational needs.
About the role:
You'll be responsible for the
preventative and corrective maintenance
of hydroelectric plant and equipment at Shoalhaven Pumped Hydro. This includes working on critical electrical systems and ensuring equipment reliability to keep operations running smoothly.
You'll also play a key role in outage planning and execution, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed on time, safely, and in line with performance requirements. This is a hands-on role where your expertise and initiative will directly support the long-term success of the project.
