About the role
* The Nurse/Midwife Manager position is currently a job share arrangement with 4 days of work per week.
Our diverse department incorporates Maternity Services, paediatric elective surgery and general surgery, with a focus on women's health. The role requires operational and clinical leadership to ensure quality of care and patient safety are paramount, while managing operational efficiency.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Clinical Leadership: Commitment to high-quality patient-centred care, quality and clinical risk management, clinical indicator results, participation in accreditation processes, and working in a clinical capacity as required.
* Administrative Management: Financial, equipment and human resource management within the department, and maintenance of the workforce profile.
* Team Development/Strategic Planning: Promoting a positive work culture, incorporating specialist areas within the department, and contributing to the development of services to ensure quality of care can be maintained.
Remuneration for this role aligns with industry standards for Nurses & Midwives.
About You
* You must be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife.
* Tertiary qualification in Midwifery is essential.
* You should have post-registration experience across all midwifery domains.
* Previous leadership and managerial experience is highly desirable.
* You must demonstrate ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, with strong leadership and communication skills.
* You should be able to support and lead change management initiatives.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
