Responsibilities
The Network Support Officer (NSO) will maintain the school's ICT systems and network, ensuring reliability and sustainability to enhance the learning environment. Duties include:
Providing technical support and advice on hardware and software issues.
Collaborating with administration to maintain and develop the network system.
Assisting users with software applications and system access.
Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining information systems and ICT equipment in accordance with school policies.
Maintaining accurate records of ICT assets and resources.
Developing, implementing, and monitoring a replacement plan.
Working as part of a versatile team, liaising with Department of Education personnel and external providers.
Delivering customer service to diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferred qualifications and experience include:
Experience working in a school setting.
Thorough understanding of standard operating systems and associated software.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Desire to work with diverse groups of people and professionals.
Experience in network systems management and user training.
Shared Arrangement
This position is shared with four partner primary schools (Cassia PS, Baler PS, Port Hedland PS, South Hedland PS). The schedule may involve 1-2 days per fortnight at a primary school, with the remainder at Hedland SHS.
Eligibility
Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa with relevant work rights.
Valid Working With Children Check before starting.
Consent to a National Criminal History Check.
