Role Overview:
As the Storeperson, you will be responsible for managing the inventory and supply chain operations for The Westin Brisbane and Four Points by Sheraton, Brisbane. This includes receiving, inspecting, and storing goods, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining organized storage areas that adhere to safety and cleanliness standards. The role involves monitoring stock levels, conducting with procurement teams to place orders and prevent shortages or overstocking. Additionally, the Storeperson ensures timely and efficient distribution of goods to various departments, while maintaining compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accepting deliveries, inspecting items for damage or discrepancies
* Record and document all incoming goods accurately
* Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure items are easy to locate and in good condition
* Prepare and distribute goods to relevant departments accurately
* Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
* Liaise with suppliers and department heads regarding deliveries, returns, or discrepancies
* End-of-month stocktake and take inventory procedures
About You:
* Hold a current forklift licence or willing to obtain one
* Adequate knowledge of Birchstreet Procurement System
* Willing to provide a police check
* Ability work independently and in a team
* Possess good computer skills
* Must have passion & attitude with keen attention to detail
