Heavy Duty Automotive Technician / Senior Mechanic
F Trucks WA, Western Australia's American truck specialists, seeks a highly skilled heavy‐duty mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair Ford, RAM, and Chevrolet American trucks in our purpose‐built workshop in Canning Vale.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, service and repair heavy‐duty American trucks, including Ford, RAM, and Chevrolet platforms from F‐150 to F‐750.
* Conduct advanced OEM diagnostics and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals for both diesel and petrol engines, including 6.7L Powerstroke engines.
* Perform mine‐site fit‐outs and pre‐delivery inspections.
* Work independently while collaborating with a small, high‐trust team.
* Maintain a safe work environment and uphold shop standards.
Required Qualifications
* Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
* Minimum 5+ years of post‐trade experience with heavy‐duty diagnostic expertise.
* Strong understanding of diesel and petrol engine systems.
* Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
* Current manual driver's licence and right to work in Australia.
* Hands‐on experience with American pickup trucks (Ford, RAM, Chevrolet) and OEM diagnostic software.
* Auto electrical experience, welding, and fabrication skills are highly regarded.
* Experience on heavy road and mining transport equipment.
