About The Opportunity
As the Category Manager - Strategic Procurement, you will lead the development and delivery of MLHD’s Strategic Procurement Action Plan. Reporting to the Director – Finance & Performance, you will oversee Procurement Governance and Clinical Products Management, acting as the key advisor to the Chief Executive and Executive Team on strategic procurement matters.
You Will Be Responsible For
Implementing NSW Health strategic reforms within MLHD Leading procurement planning, sourcing and contract management activities Identifying and mitigating commercial and supply chain risks Strengthening procurement governance frameworks Building organisational procurement capability Managing supplier relationships and performance Representing MLHD at relevant state-wide forums

Significant strategic procurement experience in a complex environment Strong commercial and risk management capability Advanced analytical and market assessment skills Proven ability to influence and lead change in risk-averse settings Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills Experience advising senior executives and representing an organisation at a state level
