Description
As the Account Executive for APAC at ScorePlay, you will be our founding commercial hire in the region, driving our expansion into Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
This role is designed for a proven closer who thrives on building new markets, cultivating high-value relationships, and managing complex enterprise sales cycles. In the early phase, you will also play a key role in customer delivery and nurturing, ensuring our first APAC clients are onboarded successfully and supported until we expand our Customer Success presence locally.
You will be responsible for landing and expanding strategic accounts across the region while building the foundation for ScorePlay’s long-term success in APAC. You’ll work closely with our customer success, marketing, and product teams to establish ScorePlay as the leading media management solution for sports organizations in APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, targeting sports clubs, leagues, and federations in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
- Develop and execute market-specific strategies to drive ScorePlay’s commercial success in APAC.
- Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Manage contracts, negotiations, and handovers to customer success.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across APAC.
- Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with decision-makers in sports organizations.
- Represent ScorePlay at regional sports business events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Act as the in-market face of ScorePlay, building local credibility and trust.
- Oversee early client onboarding and activation, ensuring smooth product adoption in the absence of a local CS team.
Act as the primary point of contact for APAC clients, addressing questions and coordinating with EU and US
- -based Customer Success and product teams.
- Build strong relationships post-sale to secure renewals, expansions, and advocacy.
- Partner with Customer Success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for new clients.
- Capture and relay market insights to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing on tailored campaigns and outreach strategies for APAC prospects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years in enterprise sales.
- Proven track record of closing six-figure deals ($100K+).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, comfortable selling to C-level executives.
- Ability to work independently in a new market, wearing multiple hats as the founding hire.
- Experience in international or startup environments.
- Native or fluent English; additional APAC languages a plus.
- Prior experience managing a small team a plus
- Bonus: Background in sports, media, or entertainment industries.
This position is remote with travel to client site and we welcome candidates located in Australia or Singapore.
