Overview
Assistant Store Manager – Steelyard Commons, Cleveland, OH (DTLR, Inc.).
DTLR, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, maximize sales and profitability through merchandising execution, inventory control, training and development of the store team, human resources management, and delivering outstanding customer service at the Steelyard Commons location.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Store Manager in upholding daily store operations to ensure maximum sales and profitability.
* Model effective leadership to achieve store goals and training standards.
* Recruit, select, train and develop store personnel; participate in annual performance evaluations for all store employees.
* Assist with expense management and develop strategies to meet budgeted targets.
* Monitor loss prevention and identify issues to keep shrink below company plan.
* Maintain compliance with all company policies and safety standards.
* Support training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques; uphold customer service standards to provide a friendly environment.
* Assist with merchandise inventory counting and accuracy; perform other duties as assigned.
* Work a standard schedule not to exceed 40 hours per week; flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
* Education/Experience: Minimum one (1) year in retail management.
* Skills and knowledge: Strong business acumen, excellent English communication; interpersonal skills; tact and diplomacy; strategic thinking and organizational ability; professionalism; analytical ability; time management; project management; discretion and confidentiality; ability to multi-task and adapt to changing demands; proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to work across multiple stores in the assigned district.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand for extended periods; lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to work extended hours during critical projects; fast-paced environment; flexible schedule.
* Reliable transportation; willing to travel by car, plane or train.
Compensation
Assistant Manager pay range: $15.25 – $17.25 per hour. Bonus opportunity if guidelines are met. All roles eligible for the company 401(k); full-time roles eligible for medical, dental, vision, and company-paid time off.
