Are you a skilled Lead Geospatial Analyst / Engineer looking for a challenging and mission-aligned role? Resolve Recruit is partnering with a prominent Commonwealth Government agency to engage an expert in data visualisation and geospatial applications for a critical, long-term program.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, deployment and maintenance of enterprise geospatial systems that support national situational awareness, emergency coordination and operational response.
This is a hands‑on role that involves spatial systems architecture, driving the evolution of enterprise GIS platforms and ensuring geospatial tools and services effectively meet both operational and strategic objectives. A high level of technical expertise, stakeholder engagement and readiness to support critical environments is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Deploy and manage GIS solutions including ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and GeoServer
* Administer spatial database environments (SQL Server, Postgres/PostGIS) across cloud and on‑premise infrastructure
* Design and maintain ETL workflows using FME and Python
* Adapt spatial viewer technologies within an enterprise GIS environment
* Develop and support GIS applications, tools and system upgrades
* Produce technical specifications and operational documentation
Key Experience and Skills
* Extensive hands‑on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Suite, Dashboards, WebApp Builder
* Strong development skills in Python and JavaScript APIs for geospatial applications
* Demonstrated experience in both cloud and on‑premise geospatial environments
* Ability to manage incidents, analyse system issues and liaise with technical and business stakeholders
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
* Capability to contribute to GIS roadmaps, strategy development and system uplift initiatives
