Overview
Harry Maxwell has been engaged to search for a Human Resources Graduate to support a growing portfolio of civil, infrastructure, and commercial construction projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity to begin a career in HR, contributing to people‐focused initiatives, supporting HR operations, and developing strong foundations in workforce management.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with day‐to‐day HR operations across multiple project teams.
* Support recruitment activities, including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
* Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR correspondence.
* Assist with training coordination, inductions, and compliance requirements.
* Provide support in performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
* Help ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
* Assist in resolving basic employee queries and escalating issues where required.
* Participate in continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline (preferred).
* Strong interest in developing a career within HR, workforce management, or organisational development.
* Understanding of HR fundamentals, employment legislation, and workplace compliance (advantageous but not essential).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn HRIS or workforce management systems.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse teams.
* High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive mindset.
* Full working rights and a valid driver's license.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
