About the Role
As a Spatial Services Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring mining and exploration titles across NSW are accurately assessed, granted and renewed. You'll provide specialist technical services including GIS analysis, survey drafting, cartography and spatial data management. In this fast‑paced and detail‑driven environment, you'll support the delivery of high‑quality spatial analysis, maintain critical datasets, and respond to a broad range of stakeholder enquiries. Your work ensures compliance with legislation, contributes to timely application processing, and supports the operational success of the broader team.

You are a detail‑oriented spatial professional with strong technical capability and a passion for accuracy. You enjoy working with digital mapping systems, interpreting plans and spatial information, and solving complex problems. You thrive in an environment where priorities shift and where high‑quality customer service, both internally and externally is essential. * Strong experience in GIS and spatial data management, including proficiency with the ESRI suite, enterprise mapping systems, and digital image storage/records management tools.
* The ability to accurately interpret and analyse maps, plans, and survey information.
* Clear communication skills with the capability to explain technical spatial concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Solid organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work within legislative and policy timeframes.
* A commitment to high-quality customer service in a technical or regulatory environment.
* Ability to meet mandatory preemployment probity requirements.
