Plant Physiologist Researcher
Job Description: We seek a talented Plant Physiologist to join our team in a research role. This position will focus on plant molecular physiology for major crops in South Australia, with the aim of improving abiotic stress tolerance and crop quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research in plant molecular physiology to improve crop resilience and yield.
* Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
* Supervise students and contribute to the development of research proposals and publications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* PhD in plant biology or agriculture with relevant industry experience.
* Strong research background in plant physiology, molecular biology, phylogeny, evolution, bioinformatics, and programming skills in R and Python.
* Experience in handling and maintaining crops in field-based and controlled environments, and genetic transformation of cereal crops.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
