This is a Permanent appointment. It will be full-time for up to 18 months then, at the close of the project, will be part-time at 30.4 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE) ongoing.
What is our Senior Pharmacist role?
The Successful Applicant Will Provide Expert Knowledge In Respect Of Electronic Medicine Management Systems, Including Pharmacy Software And Pharmacy Automation Hardware. This Includes
* Implementing Electronic Controlled Drug Registers across NMHS as part of the project.
* Aiming to optimise patient safety and the provision of high-quality pharmacy service care by coordinating the implementation and maintenance of electronic medicine management systems.
* Ensuring practice is in accordance to the Pharmacy Board of Australia Registration Standards, the Pharmacy Board of Australia Codes and Guidelines including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct for Registered Health Practitioners and North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) policies and guidelines.

SCGH is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
