BAE Systems Australia is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) for the Hawk Lead‐In Fighter program based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW. Relocation support is available for candidates outside the Williamtown, Hunter, and Maitland regions.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled servicing and unscheduled maintenance on avionic systems across fixed‐wing and rotary‐wing aircraft.
* Perform inspections, fault diagnosis, and ensure work complies with authorised technical data, regulatory and organisational standards.
* Document all maintenance activities accurately, meeting certification and reporting requirements within required timeframes.
* Provide engineering advice, defect reporting and maintain publication amendments as directed.
* Report and escalates defects, non‐conformances or quality issues to the Team Leader following procedures.
* Perform maintenance tasks within delegated authority while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.
About You
* Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade qualification – Cert IV Aeroskills – Avionics (mandatory).
* Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (mandatory). Must be able to meet ITAR requirements.
* Experience or strong interest in Defence military aircraft.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to deliver work within a fast‐paced team environment.
