* Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
* Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain smooth financial operations.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST and BAS lodgements.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
* Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
* Continuously identify and implement process improvements in financial operations.
About You
* You should have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Hold professional membership or be working towards CPA or CA accreditation.
* Have Big 4 or Mid tier Audit experience.
* Display strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Exhibit excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Communicate effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
* Experience in the Energy & Natural Resources sector would be advantageous.
