Head Chef For Newcastle/Lake Macquarie Venue
$84,000 – $88,000 + Annual Bonus Structure
This hotel is part of Don Hodge Group who own and operate seven pubs across regional NSW, Coastal NSW, Sydney, and are about to open our first greenfield site, a brand new super pub in southwest Sydney.
This venue is one of three in the Newcastle/Lake Mac area, with Warners at the Bay and the Belmont Hotel all nearby and falling under the same banner.
The venue itself is currently undergoing substantial upgrades and is going to be a real hot spot in the Lake Macquarie area. Its a locals pub, heavily involved in local communities and sporting organisations.
We are searching for a candidate to hit the ground running and with the assistance of Venue Management, lead it to new heights.
This Head Chef role will see you working with a Head Office team and Executive team that have an aggressive approach to business.
Reporting to the Group Executive team and Senior Group Management, you are responsible for but not limited to:
Menu creation and innovation, including the creation of regular special menu items
Stock management and ordering procedures
Maintaining and managing food consistency
Full financial accountability, COGS, menu costing, budgeting
Staff management including recruitment, rostering and timesheet management (Deputy)
Kitchen food safety systems, including the assurance the entire team is following them
On top of your annual salary you will also be issued an achievable annual KPI structure and weekly food and beverage allowance.
