Community Services Trainee

The Community Services Trainee will work closely with a team to deliver the Step Up Now (SUN) Program, which aims to empower clients to engage in training and employment opportunities. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to operate effectively within a team environment. You will also require basic computer literacy and knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Office.

About the Role
* Support young people in various ways to progress through the Step Up Now (SUN) program.
* Record client progress using online software and maintain accurate file notes.
* Provide assistance to other staff members as directed.
This role requires knowledge of human resource issues including Workplace Health & Safety, EEO, and Anti-Discrimination. An understanding of young people's support networks and current issues concerning youth in the community is also essential.
