Duration: 9 months + solid potential extension
Pay: $700 - $800 per day + super
Location: Eveleigh, NSW (mostly work from home)
You will be a member of a project team responsible for migrating - 12 schools located predominantly in south-west Sydney with self managed IT environment migrating to client's IT Managed Services.
Key Accountabilities:
Completing a site audit of each school to collect information regarding the ICT infrastructure at each school.
Logical review of the network in each school.
Creation of an updated network design for each school.
Development of a member server logical plan that maps the physical and virtual server infrastructure at the school.
Creation of a migration design document that captures all activities required to successfully move a school's ICT services under Department of Education management.
Completing the field work required for the network cut-over.
Assisting with issues that arise during the migration window (DHCP reservations, printer management, networking, AD groups).
Liaise with third parties where required to find solutions for migrating services.
Key knowledge and experience:
Strong understanding of networks & Wi-Fi standards
Strong understanding of server infrastructure
Experience within the field with network/cabling related work
Experience in Active Directory administration
Experience in printer management
Experience in management of Windows servers and desktops
Experience in management of DHCP reservations across multiple VLANs
Experience auditing/designing/documenting site topologies
Essential requirements of the role:
Tertiary qualification in science, engineering or ICT discipline or equivalent industry experience.
A valid NSW driver's license and the commitment to travel to schools located predominantly in south-west Sydney.
Has Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willing to obtain one.
Must be open to working the occasional after-hours or weekend work required to migrate each school.
