Key role in reviews management for the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. The job will involve supporting the Commission's legislated responsibilities in relation to reviewable regulatory and complaints decisions under the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act 2018 and associated Rules.
Job Description
This role involves supporting the Commission's obligation to maintain an independent internal review mechanism, in line with expectations of government bodies. You will undertake merit-based reviews and reconsiderations of regulatory decisions, such as provider approval, quality assessment, compliance, banning order and complaints decisions, in accordance with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Rules Act and Rules.
Key Accountabilities
* Supporting the team's role to manage the interface between the Commission and the Inspector-General of Aged Care.
* Assisting management of information requests and coordinating Commission responses to inquiries.
* Working constructively with consumers, providers and other stakeholders to resolve concerns and achieve improved consumer outcomes.
* Engaging with specialist advice (e.g. legal and/or clinical) to inform good decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrating excellent judgement, expertise and knowledge while identifying, managing and escalating risks to consumers, providers and the Commission.
* Providing leadership to more junior officers within the team and providing support through peer review and feedback.
* Managing relationships with stakeholders with a high degree of independence and understanding the requirements and processes of related areas of the Commission.
Benefits
The salary offered is between APS6 $92,970 - $104,883, EL1 - $114,247 - $130,300 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
Others
Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term. Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
