A multi-generation, Australian food manufacturer based in Griffith, NSW. The business produces almond milk and almond products on site and supplies major national retailers. With strong growth since launching in 2019, the operation is expanding significantly, including the addition of new processing and filling lines in early 2026.
The Position
This is a hands‐on Maintenance Supervisor role responsible for leading and coordinating site maintenance activities across an automated food manufacturing facility. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement as the site expands. The role suits a practical, technically strong maintenance professional with FMCG experience who enjoys mentoring others and working closely with production in a fast‐growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support day‐to‐day maintenance operations, plan and execute preventative maintenance programs, diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns on automated processing and filling equipment (including PLC/SCADA‐controlled systems), and coordinate external contractors where required.
* Work closely with production to support line changeovers, installations, and commissioning of new equipment, particularly as new lines come online in 2026.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, WHS and quality standards; maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation; manage spare parts and maintenance schedules; and drive improvements in equipment performance, reliability and safety.
Skills / Experience
* Essential FMCG or food manufacturing maintenance experience
* Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline (preferred)
* Strong fault‐finding and troubleshooting skills on automated production equipment
* Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices
* Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
* Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with production and management
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
