RoleAs a Cardiac Radiographer within the Cath Lab, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
You will:Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentBe responsible for operating advanced fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging equipment to support procedures such as coronary angiograms, angioplasties, pacemaker insertions, structural heart interventions, and vascular studiesEnsure the delivery of precise, real-time imaging to assist cardiologists and vascular surgeons in decision-making and patient careAdhere to radiation safety protocols, clinical governance, and quality assurance standardsProvide patient preparation and support, image acquisition and archiving, and equipment troubleshootingDemonstrate strong technical proficiency, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor of Applied Science - Diagnostic Radiography or equivalentCurrent registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner2+ years experience as a RadiographerPrior Cath Lab, vascular or interventional radiology experience is highly valued; training opportunities may be available for motivated candidatesKnowledge of interventional radiography, particularly cardiac, vascular and painLicence to use irradiating apparatusExperience using Siemens and/or Philips equipmentAbility to work flexible hours on an on-call rosterWillingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements
