About The Role
Applications are invited for a Medical Oncology Fellow position at the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC). This 12-month fellowship offers comprehensive clinical and research training within a supportive team of experienced medical oncologists.
The role provides strong exposure to regional cancer care alongside opportunities to participate in clinical trials and independent research under experienced supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in oncology outpatient clinics four days per week Attend multidisciplinary team meetings across oncology streams Contribute to ward rounds and inpatient oncology care Participate in clinical trials and research activities Take part in after-hours on-call and weekend oncology rosters Engage in teaching and educational activities
Skills & Experience
Medical qualification with relevant oncology training Eligibility for specialist registration (or working towards) Demonstrated interest in oncology research Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in multidisciplinary clinical environments
About BRICC
The Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre is a purpose-built regional cancer service offering comprehensive oncology care including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, inpatient oncology services and an expanding clinical trials program. The service works closely with metropolitan partners including Austin Health.
