**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Director of Product Planning, the Dedicated Six Sigma Black Belt is responsible for facilitating Six Sigma quality initiatives and continuous improvement activities within PACCAR Australia. This role includes management of internal resources to ensure Corporate Six Sigma targets are met. Frequent interaction with the Corporate Six Sigma team is also required. Applicants should ideally exhibit a drive for Six Sigma methodology and be self-motivated to seek out opportunities for improvement in all areas of the business. A strong ability to influence, mentor and develop PACCAR employees to achieve goals and solve problems is vital.
**Key Responsibilities Include**
- Identify / Review / Approve Project Work
- Train, Mentor and Develop Six Sigma Belts
- Maintain Adherence to Six Sigma Methodology
- Coach Kaizen Events & HIKEs
- Develop and Update Six Sigma Reports
- Assist with Project Selection / Scoping
- Savings Budget / Forecasting
**Key Challenges Include**
- Manage and develop Six Sigma skills of PACCAR Australia trained belts and champions
- Motivate and inspire continuous improvement strategies throughout the Division
- Meet PACCAR's corporate agendas, challenges and goals
**What we like about you**:
- Degree qualified in Engineering preferred
- Qualified Six Sigma Black Belt & DFSS Desired
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools.
- Self-motivated and results driven.
- High level of communication skills.
- High level of leadership ability with proven influencing and mentoring capabilities.
- High level of computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Minitab software.
- Strong understanding of Minitab software (Highly desirable)
