My client is a leading Government agency who are seeking an experience Media Relation Manager to support the development and delivery of strategic communication plans, both internally and externally, to protect and promote reputation identify issues and enable the delivery of the agencies strategy.
**About the role**
- Develop, deliver and implement media communication and engagement strategies to promote the brand, protect reputation, manage issues and deliver successful programs.
- Provide input into reports including external engagement, issues status, and evaluate and report on communication deliverables and channels.
- Develop a sound understanding of the business and build trusted internal relationships that support the delivery of highly effective strategic communication and engagement outcomes.
- Research and implement best practice approaches and methods to media communication and engagement,
- Ongoing analysis of communication and engagement channels to identify improvement needs and opportunities.
- Respond to complaints and enquiries and feedback from a variety of channels.

- Plan and prepare content for communication channels. Prioritise content aligned to strategic objectives and principles of employee and community engagement.
- Develop and oversee a content editing and approvals process, ensuring sign-off by relevant internal stakeholders for communcations and engagement plans, messaging, Q&As, fact sheets, publications and video/online content.
- Degree qualifications in a media communications, marketing, community relations or related discipline or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in communications or community relations, in a complex environment experiencing change.
- Experience in project planning and the reporting and evaluation of outcomes.
- Experience in the development and delivery of external communication plans.
- Experience in managing community and stakeholder issues for projects.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work cooperatively with people at all levels to achieve outcomes.
- A strong team player with proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve goals.
- Creative thinker with demonstrated ability to develop strong and trusted relationships and influence key stakeholders (internal and external).
- Sound written communication skills including any experience in developing and implementing media communications or engagement strategies and/or collateral e.g. prepare scripts, articles, channel and publication content and edit complex technical information for multiple audiences.
- Demonstrated verbal communication and presentation skills and good negotiation, problem solving and liaison skills.
