THE ROLE

Based: ZETR HQ
We’re looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to support our CFO in key financial tasks including budgeting, forecasting, month-end, reconciliations, reporting and dashboarding. This is a broad, hands-on role designed for someone 1–3 years into their career, who wants to go beyond traditional finance admin and start building real FP&A; capability.
You’ll support EOM close, maintain reporting tools, assist with reconciliations, and collaborate with our Accounts Administrator and department leads. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on dashboards, process improvements, and ad hoc commercial analysis.
In this role you will collaborate across teams, from Sales to Operations, to help track key metrics, trends, and surface insights that support strategic growth. You’ll also work with our internal systems and tools, contributing to the automation and optimization of financial processes.
This is a development role with room to grow - ideal for someone curious, driven, and ready to take ownership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses across departments
- Maintain financial models and reports in collaboration with department leads
- Deliver monthly reporting and basic variance analysis
- Help build and maintain dashboards to track KPIs and performance
- Support Month End Close
- Prepare and post journals under CFO guidance
- Reconcile key accounts and check P&L; data for accuracy
- Review transactions and assist with GL coding
- Investigate anomalies or variances in the numbers
- Finance Admin & Operational Support: assist the external Accounts Administrator with credit card reconciliations, receipt collection, and supplier records
- Follow up on missing documentation and help resolve finance queries from across the business
- Data & Systems: support the development of reporting tools in Excel, Power BI or similar
- Clean and structure data for reporting use
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate reporting workflows
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years’ experience in a finance, accounting, or analyst role
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar preferred
- Studying towards CA/CPA is a plus
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in how the business works
- Confident with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Comfortable with financial reporting, reconciliations, and basic budgeting
- Exposure to tools like Xero, Power BI, or CIN7 a bonus
- Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive — not afraid to chase down missing data
- A great team player who enjoys collaborating across departments
