The Civil Designer/Drafter is a key member of the civils team, contributing your technical expertise to strengthen Arup's capability across a diverse range of transport, energy, water, and site development projects.
This role offers the opportunity to apply your 3D design skills, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and actively pursue design excellence.
The Opportunity Support civil engineers in the delivery of road, earthworks, utilities, and stormwater designs for transport infrastructure and site development projects.
Prepare and manage 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation using Autodesk Civil 3D and associated tools.
Develop and coordinate technically sound design solutions that comply with relevant standards, legislation, and safety guidelines.
Delegate to, direct, review, and mentor junior designers and engineers, supporting their development.
Ensure quality assurance, programme adherence, and budget control while contributing to continuous improvement within Arup systems and skills networks.

Is this role right for you?
Strong knowledge of road design standards, including Austroads, Transport for Main Roads, and Australian Standards.
Competent in Autodesk Civil 3D, including surfaces, corridors, pipe networks, and custom styles, plus proficiency with CAD, Bluebeam, and ProjectWise.
Experience working on complex multidisciplinary projects, including design coordination, model reviews, and clash detection.
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and manage time and priorities under pressure.
A relevant tertiary qualification, commitment to professional development, and a proactive, motivated approach to achieving design excellence.
