Land Surveying Project Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our land surveying projects in Melville. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of survey experience and be licensed as a New York Licensed Land Surveyor.


About the Position

* Maintain high-quality control over all survey documents, including survey plans, record plots, metes and bounds descriptions, review of title commitment reports and construction layout services.
* Provide regular progress updates on project deliverables to all stakeholders and management team members.
* Oversight of surveying activities, including staff management, technical resource allocation, and client communication for multiple projects.
* Responsible for administering quality control reviews, safety procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
* Effective communication of our Integrated Business Model in written and verbal business development discussions and maintaining our strong presence and leadership in the market.
* Initiation and participation in business development activities to partner with new and existing clients.
* Ongoing efforts to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
* Budget monitoring and accountability for project profitability; preparation and review of project billing reports for monthly invoicing; collaboration with the accounting department on account collections.
* Staff development, contract preparation, and financial acumen.
* Representation of our brand, values, and culture through positive attitude, dress, and demeanor.
* Demonstrating unwavering commitment and working extended hours when necessary.


Requirements

* Minimum 8 years of survey experience.
* New York Licensed Land Surveyor.
* Proven track record of business development and leadership.
* Bachelor's Degree.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
* Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues at all levels.
* Excellent communication, diplomacy, and listening skills; accessible and responsive to client needs.
* Capacity to interpret complex drawings and documents.
* Computer operation skills using technical software and applications.
* Spreadsheet and business software proficiency.
* Achievement-driven mindset.
