An outstanding independent co-educational school in Melbourne is seeking a dedicated English Teacher with the skills and experience to teach Senior VCE English. This is a full-time position commencing as soon as possible or from Term 3. With a strong commitment to student voice, creativity, and academic excellence, the school provides a collaborative and supportive environment for passionate educators.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, rigorous English lessons across Years 7–12, with a focus on VCE English
* Prepare students for VCE assessments and external exams
* Design differentiated learning to support a range of abilities
* Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and moderation
* Contribute to the school's wider literacy initiatives and co-curricular programs
Qualifications
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., M.Teach)
* VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain)
* Proven experience teaching Year 12 English (VCE experience strongly preferred)
* Expertise in the Victorian Curriculum and senior assessment frameworks
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
* A commitment to professional growth and high-impact teaching
