Project Officer Strategic Programs and Acquisitions — Temporary Full Time opportunity up to June 2027. Office location Newcastle (other locations considered). Salary relative to experience: from $113,574 to $125,720 + super.

What you'll be doing
* Lead and deliver land sale and divestment projects within defined timeframes.
* Prepare comprehensive assessments for delegated decision-makers under the Crown Land Management Act 2016.
* Coordinate acquisition, sale, and vesting initiatives across diverse portfolios.
* Provide expert advice on complex land status, statutory divestment, and land sales.
* Manage internal and external service providers across planning, valuation, legal, and marketing functions.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including government agencies, local councils, industry, and community groups.
* Maintain accurate databases, manage project finances, and finalise Crown land accounts.
* Represent the department in forums, committees, and cross-functional teams.
What you will bring
* Proven experience in land management, property divestment, or government asset disposal.
* Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret legislation and policy.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and project coordination capabilities.
* Commercial acumen and understanding of valuation, planning, and legal frameworks.
* High attention to detail and proficiency in financial and data management systems.
