Financial analysts are key professionals in every organization. They play a crucial role in supporting business investment and expenditure decisions. As a Financial Analyst – Assets & Projects, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial processes related to fixed assets, leased assets, and capital management.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to take ownership of the fixed asset register, lease accounting, and capital management process. You will work closely with the Financial Accountant (Assets) to ensure that all asset management systems are up-to-date and accurate. Your responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining monthly reporting on capital expenditure, fixed assets, and leased assets, as well as reviewing month-end ledger postings for accuracy and explaining variances.
You will also be responsible for preparing budgets and forecasts for capex, fixed assets, and lease accounting transactions. Additionally, you will review and approve business cases requesting the use of capital expenditure and prepare post-implementation reviews for projects to ensure that all financial-related business case outcomes have been met.
Key Responsibilities
* Owning the fixed asset register, lease accounting, and capital management process
* Preparing and maintaining monthly reporting on capital expenditure, fixed assets, and leased assets
* Reviewing month-end ledger postings for accuracy and explaining variances
* Preparing budgets and forecasts for capex, fixed assets, and lease accounting transactions
* Reviewing and approving business cases requesting the use of capital expenditure
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years of relevant finance experience and a CPA/CA qualification. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work autonomously to drive process improvement.
