We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining facility infrastructure and critical systems, including technical repair and maintenance of fire alarm equipment.
This role involves planning, organization, coordination, scheduling, and resource management for daily maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for completing fire system maintenance efficiently, identifying deficiencies, and working closely with the Facilities Operations Team, other Maintainers, and departments to ensure reliable system operation.
The successful candidate will possess adaptability, high-standard task completion, and support for continuous improvement initiatives. They will also be physically fit to perform physical tasks, including lifting and traversing maintenance environments.
Responsibilities:
* Inspect, test, and maintain fire systems and infrastructure per standards.
* Perform repairs and install fire systems and infrastructure.
* Program Notifier systems.
* Coordinate life safety system impairments with operational personnel.
* Maintain current knowledge of facilities infrastructure and systems.
* Inspect fire extinguishers.
* Train site incident response personnel on life safety systems.
Essential Requirements:
* NICET II or III – Fire Alarm Systems.
* Understanding of WSH Act and EHS policies.
* Experience in Facility Maintenance or similar technical environment.
* Knowledge of electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment terminology.
* Understanding of facilities equipment and O&M requirements.
* Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Desirable Qualifications:
* NICET I or II - Fire Special Hazards.
* NICET I or II - Water Based Systems Inspection and Testing.
* Experience with Notifier systems.
* Trade qualification.
* ERP experience (SAP, Archibus).
* Microsoft Office proficiency.
