Job Description
The Office of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (NT) plays a crucial role in ensuring integrity and accountability in public administration.
As a Senior Legal Professional, you will report to the General Counsel and provide independent, timely and accurate legal advice, guidance and support to staff involved in assessments, investigations, evaluations, reviews and prevention activities.
You will be responsible for preparing and assisting in the preparation of reports, including investigation reports and general reports, contributing to the development of policies and procedures, and contributing to the management and administration of inquiry processes.
Additionally, you will instruct counsel in respect of examinations conducted pursuant to the ICAC Act.
Ideally, you will need to have a degree in law or be eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in the Northern Territory, have the ability to provide legal advice in relation to criminal law, public law and administrative law and produce high quality written legal advice that is clear and easily understood.
High quality communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

* Relevant tertiary qualification in law;

* Ability to work under pressure.
