**The Role**
If you an APS 6 Workplace Relations Advisor with experience in Enterprise Agreements, Code of Conduct Investigations, based in Canberra and looking to for a long term contract, this just might be the role for you!
**Duties**
- Provide high-level advice on industrial relations issues, including dispute resolution, grievance handling, and code of conduct investigations.
- Case-manage staff complaints and conduct or coordinate thorough investigations into alleged breaches of the APS Values & Code of Conduct.
- Provide advice on solutions that are fair, impartial and would withstand independent scrutiny.
- Assist in conciliation processes between parties involved in workplace disputes. Assist with cases related to unfair dismissal, general protection, and discrimination.
- Oversee performance management processes, including coaching and mentoring managers dealing with underperformance and probationary issues.
- In partnership with other HR team members, contribute to the development, implementation and review of HR policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about changes in employment legislation and industry trends.
**Do You Have?**
- Cultural capability i.e. demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the ability to engage authentically and respectfully.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, law, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years).
- Expert knowledge of employment laws, legislation, regulations, Enterprise Agreements, and workplace policies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
