Our client, an Australian Government agency responsible for preserving and providing access to official government records and protecting the nation’s history for future generations, is seeking a Procurement Officer to provide specialist procurement advisory and operational support.
Duties of the Procurement Officer
* Work with business areas to identify procurement needs, and encourage early engagement, alongside decision makers to ensure procurements are effective, promote proper use of resources, and deliver value for money;
* Create, update and maintain procurement records in TechOne and BuyICT;
* Create, update and maintain AusTender approaches to market, panel arrangements and reporting obligations;
* Build documentation for internal use that is simple, easy to maintain and consistent with better practices;
* Provide contract management and contract relationship support both internally to the organisation and suppliers.
Skills and Experience Required
* Experience with TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT;
* Training in Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act compliance.
Highly desirable:
* Completion of or progression towards Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting.
