This Brisbane-based organisation is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide high-quality support across applications, infrastructure, and bespoke systems. This role manages incidents, problems, and service requests in line with agreed SLAs while maintaining strong client relationships and reliable system performance. It combines hands-on technical problem-solving with customer-focused service delivery in a secure, client-facing setting.

What you will be doing 
- Provide responsive technical support through multiple channels in line with SLAs. 
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and database issues. 
- Support SQL databases, writing and optimising queries where required. 
- Monitor system performance, investigate alerts, and prevent incidents before they impact service. 
- Apply ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management practices. 
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated technical issues. 
- Document all support activities, decisions, and resolutions accurately. 
- Participate in an on-call roster to ensure 24/7 support coverage. 
Who should apply / Qualifications 
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience in a technical support or application support role 
- Strong SQL knowledge (advanced querying and database management) 
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and troubleshooting methodologies 
- Experience using ticketing systems such as Jira Service Management or ServiceNow 
- Ability to support Windows environments, APIs, and web applications 
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach 
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills 
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise under pressure 
- MUST be an Australian Citizen (for security requirements) 
- MUST hold or be eligible for NV1 Security Clearance 
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience 
- Microsoft certifications in Azure (Data Fundamentals, Database Administrator Associate) 
- Experience supporting bespoke or custom-developed software systems 
- Exposure to public sector or security-sensitive environments
