The role offers a broad experience across all aspects of Obstetric Medicine, working under the care of consultants across a full range of medical specialties.
Role Summary
* Location: Joan Kirner Women's & Children's Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, Western Health
* Employment Type: Fixed Term (12 months), Full Time or Part Time
* Salary: HM25‐HM30 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging
Responsibilities
Provide obstetric medical care to pregnant women and newborns, including high‐risk and general maternity services. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical education activities. Collaborate with specialists to manage complex obstetric cases and support the development of junior staff.
Qualifications
Significant experience in general medicine and/or a relevant specialty area. Suitable for an advanced FRACP trainee and accredited by RACP. The position includes 12 months accredited training with the Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (SOMANZ), culminating in certification in Obstetric Medicine.
Working Conditions
* 12‐month accredited training program with rotation variability depending on clinical and educational requirements.
* Working hours aligned with full‐time or part‐time arrangements.
* All appointments subject to satisfactory Police Record Check, Immunisation Status Clearance and, where applicable, Working with Children Check.
