The Position Permanent Full-Time Opportunity

An exciting full-time opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team at Joondalup Health Campus.

You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive clinical speech pathology service to an adult outpatient caseload who present with a range of swallowing and / or communication deficits due to a range of diagnoses.

You will also be a valued leader who is able to provide student supervision and mentor other team members to advance their clinical skills.


Qualifications

* Tertiary qualification in speech pathology.
* Current eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) as a practicing clinician.
* Advanced clinical experience in assessing and managing adults presenting with swallow and communication deficits across a range of clinical areas including outpatient services and other clinical specialties.
* Demonstrated ability to plan develop implement and evaluate treatment programs including group programs.
* Ability to act as a consultant in adult communication and swallowing disorders.
* Have attained or are working towards credentialing in videofluoroscopic evaluation of swallowing (VFSS) and / or flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) is desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a complex environment including excellent caseload and time management skills.
* Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
* Proven administrative management and leadership skills.
* Demonstrated ability to supervise speech pathology students and professional staff.
* Demonstrated experience in identifying and completing quality improvement projects in area / s of specialty.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Knowledge of and commitment to quality assurance and / or the accreditation process.
* An understanding of the relevant legislation in Equal Opportunity and Occupational Health and Safety.
