Department for Infrastructure and Transport

Job reference: 699801

Location: MURRAY BRIDGE

Job status: Ongoing

Eligibility: Open to Everyone

At the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, we are connecting South Australia to keep our State moving. We are responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transformative transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city's public transport network.

Our work encompasses every part of our State; from our cities to our regions, connecting and strengthening community. We value diversity and inclusion and foster an environment of collaboration, flexibility, and support for our people.

The Opportunity

We're offering an exciting dual-call opportunity with multiple ASO7 Team Leader and one PO4 Team Leader positions available.

In these roles, you'll take the lead on complex and high-profile infrastructure projects that shape South Australia's transport future. From planning to delivery, you'll oversee every stage of project management — scope, time, cost, risk, and quality — while guiding your team and ensuring outcomes that truly make a difference.

As a Team Leader, you'll work with a high degree of independence, building strong relationships with stakeholders, mentoring staff, and driving results across multiple projects. This is a chance to showcase your leadership, grow your impact, and contribute to projects that directly benefit communities across the state.

About you

You are a strategic and customer-focused professional who consistently delivers services aligned with organisational goals. Your ability to engage effectively with stakeholders allows you to navigate sensitive, critical, or complex matters with confidence and diplomacy.

You work well under broad direction, demonstrating initiative in setting goals, standards, and priorities. You act with urgency and communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, across all levels of an organisation.

With extensive experience in leading professional and technical specialists, you motivate teams to deliver complex programs, projects, systems, and services efficiently, making the most of available resources. Your leadership fosters high performance and continuous development.
