We strive to make a positive difference to people’s lives by providing caring, person-centric and quality aged care services based on Christian principles.About The RoleAs the Maintenance and Property Team Leader, you will provide quality support and maintenance services to all residents and the site as a whole. You will be responsible for the provision of quality support and maintenance of the grounds and gardens to ensure the facility is safe, well maintained and attractive for residents, families, visitors and staff. This includes assisting with general building upkeep, as well as assisting with our resident’s repair requests for their individual rooms.This is a full-time position across 5 days a week.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and perform maintenance tasks for both reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure high standards and compliance with legislated requirements and the Aged Care Quality StandardsManage contractors and service provision of external stakeholdersOversee asset management, including acquisition, disposal and maintenance of site vehicles and equipmentHands on support and management of the maintenance of the buildings and property associated with the facilityManagement of records and reports, including budget managementProvide leadership and supervision of the maintenance teamPrioritise and manage a variety of completing projects/tasksEssential CriteriaPrevious experience in maintenance and building works in an aged care settingTrade certificate in a relevant fieldA sound understanding of WH&S and ability to always maintain a safe working environmentHold a current Australian Driver’s LicenceValid working rightsIntermediate computer skills in MS Office and databasesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both within a team and autonomouslyWillingness to undertake Fire Safety Officer trainingWilling to be On Call for after-hours emergenciesDesirableTrade background and several years industry experience will be highly regardedUnderstanding of Asset Management software programsFully vaccinated against COVID-19What We OfferA genuinely supportive and friendly teamCompetitive remuneration and benefits including tax-free salary packaging optionsGenerous leave entitlements including parental leave, leave loading and an additional annual public holidayComprehensive and on-going skills development, education and training and annual performance and development plansA genuine commitment to work/life balanceCounselling support services (EAP) and Health and wellbeing programThe opportunity to make a real difference to people’s livesTo apply: Please apply via the Seek link below.
