Arc Spray Engineering is seeking an experienced Boiler Maker to join our team in Forrestdale, Western Australia. This full-time position is essential in supporting our mission to provide high-quality engineering services to our clients. As a Boiler Maker, you will be responsible for the weld repairs to damaged mining equipment in your own fully vented welding bay using MIG, TIG, OXY & some laser cladding. We are not the usual Boiler shop and it is a much nicer environment here.
Responsibilities
* Perform welding, cutting, and other metalworking tasks to specified industry standards
* Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete projects accurately
* Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment
* Identify and troubleshoot issues, recommending appropriate solutions
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure project success
* Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Boiler Maker or equivalent role
* Proficient in MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques
* Strong knowledge of cast iron welding (We will teach this as its easy)
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Commitment to safety and attention to detail
* Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication or a relevant trade qualification
