Department Manager
At JD Sports, our customer is at the heart of everything we do. As a Department Manager, you will lead your department team to provide exceptional customer service to every JD customer. You will work closely with the store's Management Team and be responsible for creating great in‐store experiences, maintaining merchandising and visual standards, and delivering the financial results for your department. You will set the standard for sales and key performance metrics, coach and develop your team, and uphold company standards and visual excellence.
Responsibilities
* Model exceptional customer service, every customer, every time.
* Coach the team to deliver exceptional service and a 'service over task' environment.
* Actively gain, maintain and share product & brand knowledge for your department.
* Support the management team to improve financial performance within your department.
* Work with the back‐of‐house team to ensure product availability.
* Uphold company standards and deliver store visual excellence.
Qualifications
* 2–3 years leadership experience within retail or like industry.
* Passionate about delivering an amazing service experience for customers.
* Positive attitude, capable of creating a motivating environment for your team.
* Proven track record in driving and exceeding set KPI's and communicating well with all stakeholders.
* Excellent time‐management skills to ensure daily priorities are executed in a timely manner.
* Thrives in a fast‐paced, ever‐changing environment.
* Openly shares knowledge with the wider team to achieve common goals.
* Desire to develop yourself, your career, and learn new skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage with customers and team members.
