Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Dampier Bulk Handling Facility (DBHF) project for a FIFO position to Karratha. This will be working both day and night shifts; one swing will be day shift, next will be night shift. The project involves the construction of a wharf to support the export of urea in bulk quantities through the Port of Dampier, including the demolition and removal of decommissioned marine structures, construction of a new land-backed wharf and land redevelopment. The position is on a 20:8 rotation to site in Karratha.

We require an experienced Project Engineer with a background in Civil or Wharf engineering who can manage Sub-Contractors.

Responsibilities

- Delivery of technically acceptable engineering design and construction services for approved work
- Work with technical specialists to ensure specification compliance and technical integrity of design
- Prepare, check and file design information including documents and data from suppliers and other disciplines
- Contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of systems across the division
- Manage customer relations to achieve mutually satisfactory and technical program outcomes
- Liaise regularly with manager to report progress, areas of concern / issues and potential changes
- Be a proactive member of the team, prepared to work outside conventional boundaries in cooperation with other team members to ensure complete coverage of each work scope
- Manage and coordinate design and construction effort of team reports to achieve satisfactory outcomes
- Provide construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support to projects as required

What you will bring to the team

- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. BSc Eng)
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – preferred
- Membership of relevant Engineering Institutions (e.g. Engineers Australia) – preferred
- Good knowledge of local and international Codes and Standards
- Relevant experience defined as experience with engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Infrastructure / Utilities
