Job Description
The Empire Beauty Bar is seeking skilled and personable Hairdresser to join our team and deliver a comprehensive range of professional beauty treatments and services, ensuring a high standard of client care and satisfaction.
Location: Upcoming Store in Garden City Booragoon.
Job Type: Permanent, Full time. Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum.

Responsibilities
* Give advice on hair and beauty care, talking with clients to understand what they want and suggesting suitable hairstyles, treatments or products.
* Wash and condition clients' hair, perform scalp treatments to keep hair soft, shiny, and healthy.
* Apply chemical treatments such as colour, straightening, curling or permanent waves, ensuring client safety and hair health.
* Cut hair using scissors, clippers, or razors to achieve desired look.
* Style hair, including braids, dreadlocks, updos, and extensions.
* Groom facial hair: shape eyebrows, remove unwanted facial hair, thread, wax or tint to enhance features.
* Maintain a clean and sanitised workspace, keeping chairs, tools and equipment clean.
* Manage appointments and payments, schedule bookings, track appointments, and handle cash or electronic payments.
* Work with wigs and hairpieces: clean, colour, cut and style to help clients achieve preferred look.
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma or Certificate in Hairdressing (or equivalent).
* Minimum 1 year experience working as a hairdresser or in a similar salon role.
* Strong knowledge of hair care, cutting, colouring, and styling techniques.
* Experience with chemical treatments such as straightening, perming and colouring is highly valued.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to understand and meet client needs.
* Ability to work in a busy, professional salon environment with high attention to detail and strong commitment to client satisfaction.
* Positive attitude, teamwork, flexibility to work different shifts including weekends if required.
