Overview
Data Capability Analyst role at Bendigo Bank. Part of the Finance Division, Group Reporting, creates a Centre of Excellence that provides access to trusted and value-add Business Intelligence capability enabling data-driven operational and strategic decision making.
Responsibilities
- support the implementation and change required to uplift business maturity in data management practices, including Data Quality, Governance and Security. Identify opportunities for data improvements, working with senior leaders, business units and technology practices to embed and facilitate adoption of processes and tools.
- be a trusted expert in data domain, championing data integrity and usage.
- collaborate with diverse stakeholders including technology teams, risk & compliance partners, business owners and Data Custodians & Stewards.
- identify synergies across data demand to accelerate time to value/insight and opportunities for improvement, driving continuous enhancement of systems and processes that leverage data to support the Bank’s strategic goals while maintaining a secure, compliant, and customer-centric environment.
- work with Finance Data Custodians and Senior business leaders to determine relative importance and value of opportunities and the order in which they should be addressed.
What you’ll bring to the role
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Data Analyst, Data Quality or Data Governance role
- Experience of data warehousing concepts and techniques, querying relational databases and business intelligence tools
- Demonstrated experience with using or configuring Collibra or similar Data Governance tools
- Strong skills in verbal and written communication, and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to lead process administration/coordination or issues management activities
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience
Position details
This is a permanent full-time position with flexible work options and a hybrid model of minimum three days per week based out of Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo, Brisbane or Sydney corporate office.
