The Network Management team is responsible for the day-to-day operation, support, and oversight of our client’s network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, and data centres. The team ensures performance, security, and reliability, proactively managing events across the network ecosystem to minimize downtime and ensure service continuity. Responsibilities include fault detection, capacity management, and performance optimization.
About The Role
We seek an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead Network Engineers in ensuring the reliable operation, performance, and security of critical network infrastructure. The role requires leadership, technical expertise, and experience managing ITIL-based service operations, including incident, problem, change, and service request management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the Network Management Team, ensuring effective network operations and service continuity across multiple sites.
2. Oversee network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and WAN/LAN environments.
3. Handle escalated incidents and outages, ensuring prompt resolution and documentation.
4. Develop and implement network policies, procedures, and best practices, driving continuous improvement and compliance.
5. Support team development through mentoring, performance management, recruitment, and fostering a collaborative culture.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors, generate reports, and act as a key escalation point for high-priority issues.
Experience Required
1. Leadership, customer service, and project management experience in technical operations.
2. At least 5 years in network operations, with 3+ years in managerial or team leadership roles.
3. Deep knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, with a strong customer support background.
4. Experience managing ITIL-aligned service operations, including incident, problem, and change management.
5. HR and people management skills, including team development and conflict resolution.
6. Proven ability to build and maintain a positive, proactive team culture.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
8. Hands-on experience managing complex network infrastructure across multiple sites and data centres.
