Club General Manager

The Role
As a Club General Manager, you'll be responsible for driving a culture of excellence, community, and high performance. You'll work closely with our Executive Team, Regional Performance Managers, and Directors to achieve outstanding results.
* Manage the club's overall budgets and financials, including Member Movement/Growth, EBITDA, & Retention strategies.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring high-quality facilities are consistently maintained.
* Recruit, onboard, train, and retain staff members.
* Deliver training, mentoring, and support for Department Heads, running weekly meetings to engage and motivate teams.
* Oversee staff rostering to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours, approving leave and fortnightly payroll.
* Use internal software systems to determine communications and procedures are being met and followed.
* Plan, manage, and execute club events, such as Open Days and 8-week Challenges.
* Statistical Reporting and analysis.
Requirements
* Experience in a similar role - Big Box Gym with over 20 staff and more than 2,000 members.
* Experience in a KPI driven environment with a drive to achieve targets and team goals.
* Ability to build rapport with people from varied walks of life, and a desire to help people succeed in their goals.
* Growth mindset, with a passion for fitness and sales.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to overcome obstacles.
* Outstanding communication abilities - listening, understanding, empathizing, and influencing others.
* Customer-focused with a desire to achieve exceptional outcomes.
* Ability to be a role model and live by health values and behaviors while being passionate about the gym brand.
* A 'can do' attitude with a thirst for learning and ambition for growth.
* Reliability, proactivity, punctuality, professionalism, and strong presentation.
* Strong work ethic.

* Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
* Communicate and uphold policies and procedures to customers and staff.
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (if not holding, willing to acquire).
* Australian working rights.
