Lead Collection Manager for History and Technology
This pivotal role is responsible for leading and implementing a variety of collection management activities within the History & Technology Department. Key duties include leading projects to preserve and enhance access to social history and technology collections, leveraging expertise in collection management systems like KE EMu and MVWISE, and planning and delivering projects using strong project management principles.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in museum collection management, proven ability to deliver complex projects aligned with organisational goals, strong leadership and team management skills, excellent organisational, time management, and communication abilities. A tertiary qualification in Museum Studies, History, or another humanities discipline is desirable but not essential for this role.
The job requires managing digital assets and rights, ensuring successful project delivery through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and mentoring team members while occasionally overseeing contract staff. The ideal candidate will be able to foster a culture of growth and excellence within the team, working closely with colleagues to achieve impactful outcomes.
