The Position
* Assisting in daily food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes across menus and specials to a high standard.
* Supporting allergy awareness and strictly following food safety and OH&S guidelines.
* Delivering consistently high-quality food and service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
* Helping to implement catering controls, minimize food waste, and improve kitchen efficiency.
* Must be available Tuesday and Saturdays.
* Working approximately 25 to 30 hours per week, extra hours during peak periods, and time off over Christmas and New Year.
* Being part of a dynamic, ever-changing environment where no two days are the same.
The Person
* Holds a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
* Has strong experience in à la carte service, as well as events and functions.
* Demonstrates sound knowledge of OH&S and safe work practices.
* Shows creativity and initiative in contributing to menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
* Has a solid understanding of dietary requirements, allergens, and modern cooking techniques.
* Displays strong leadership skills, particularly in high‐pressure, customer‐focused environments.
* Communicates clearly, works well in a team, and is confident in teaching and supporting other team members.
